wooo hooooot wednesday

playing along with kelly and janine. despite the arctic conditions outside, there's always something to wave the happy flag at:

- last week i committed to walk every day this week, and so far i have! walked miss 11 to the train at 7.45 on monday morning and carried on in the driving rain and frigid temperatures! tuesday walked down the gorge with miss 18 to the organic grocer for brekky (and back). today walked miss 1o to school, AND walked up kau kau with tara.

- coming inside from the cold to a lovely warm house. our pellet burner is not only efficient but environmentally friendly.

- that warm house was also clean as greenacres had just been - yay! nothing like fresh sheets.

- our new kitten is just the most affectionate cat ever! he slept on our bed for the first time last night and didn't eat any of my toes through the thin part of the duvet!

- going to a fundraiser on saturday night. love to socialise. love to raise money. love wine tasting and answering quiz questions.

- the school holidays are NIGH - and i'm counting the days!!!

tara and jed atop a windy kau kau this morning

Ooh, I want one of those, a greenacres thing that changes sheets. I don't have that I just have work shy children that eat and make mess

My favorite thing is to walk. The picture at the bottom is awesome! Lucky you.

Walking in the rain and cold- now that is dedication! At least the views look lovely.

I always find darned good reasons not to walk.

Seriously, I do miss my daily walk, but my schedule as it is now makes it mostly impossible. Some day.

Thanks for visiting and commenting, and I agree about lids left off the jam jars and cupboard doors left open. My life it a constant battle with gestalt.

Ummmm.... mad woman!! LOL

I LOVE the fact that a cleaning compnay not only cleans the house but does the bed too. How cool. Cept I would have to spend the rest of the week leadning up to it, sorting everything out in advance!! Doh!

After several years of fab cleaning ladies, I don't do much cleaning up in advance any more.

Today is Rose's day - I'm so looking forward to clean sheets tonight and an empty dishwasher. She even takes our sheets home to wash and iron...

I love Rose.

I wish I had a cleaning lady. That would be nice. But since my husband is so messy, I am sure she would charge me more! Anyway my house is a wreck right now. And my yard. It baffles me that the weeds can grow so well, all nice and green, but the plants I want there just die all the time. RUDE!

See? And NZ is so pretty... I must go there someday.

Congrats on all the walking. I've just made a promise to Sass (and to myself, although I tend to break promises to myself) to hit the gym tomorrow - I'm inspired by her run and, now, by your walking.

It's so weird to me to read about winter and "cold" there, when it's summer here... Intellectually, i know the seasons are opposite in the Northern & Southern hemispheres... But, psychologically, I can't seem to get my head around it. Colour me ignorant, i guess... but winter in June? That's crazy! ;)
