then i turn on my computer on SUNDAY morning, to discover i've won the same award again from veggiemom, who gave it to me as part of six word SATURDAY.



right now, my six words would be

HAD A MELTDOWN. WILL BE OK

i guess that's what happens when you go back to [paid] word after 20 years, and whilst you make the transition easy, the rest of the family doesn't; and at the same time, your husband loses HIS job, and a parent becomes ill.


i do believe change is good. sometimes it happens to fast. sometimes it doesn't happen fast enough. sometimes the concept is simply overwhelming.

meh. i'm sure it's nothin' that can't be fixed with a proper fitting bra.


i'm supposed to hand my award/s onto 15 new blogs i've discovered. it just so happens that i HAVE discovered a few new blogs lately, and i promise to linky love them soon!

you may remember tuesday's wagie ride back in february. we rode our bikes to remember Tuesday, who lost her 8 month battle with cancer. she was 2 years old.

remembering tuesday and aiden

my family honoured these angels this [waitangi] weekend.

i took a moment to talk to the girls about tuesday and aiden.

i asked them to imagine the heartache their families are experiencing right now

then i asked them to feel grateful for their sisters, their family, their lives.

the girls then rode to honour tuesday.

coming together

how quickly the mood of the blogosphere can change.

last week it was bursting with new life. it seemed like every second blogger was pregnant or about to have a baby!

this week however, the mood is heavy with loss.

many of you may already be familiar with tuesday's story. last week, two and a half year old tuesday lost her battle with cancer. then this week, cynthiaa lost her son aiden, two weeks before his birth.

a virtual wagie ride (one of tuesday's favourite things to do) is being organised for saturday.

take your kids to the park. take the bikes. take the scooters. TAKE PICTURES.

show these families we care. show them we're hurting for them, that we feel their loss, and that we're going to hug our children just that little bit tighter to honour the memory of their children.
