wordful wednesday - oh how i love to dress up!

my husband's company used to sponsor two major award dinners in the city and i looked forward to them SO MUCH! i got to dress up in my 'ball' finery and we got to sit at the FRONT table (major sponsors) and enjoy the glitz and glamour - such as it was.

husband's company no longer sponsors these dinners and i am MOST SAD about that! my strapless corset tops and tulle skirts and other assorted shiny girlie 'grown up' clothes have been languishing in the wardrobe.

it should be illegal. don't they know how much i looked forward to these nights?

ok - enough woe is me. at least there's the office christmas party right?

and with a JAMES BOND theme NO LESS!!!

husband went as james bond in 'on her majesty's secret service'. george lazenby's only fling at being 007 and yes, he wore a kilt in the movie.

if i'd had more notice (ie husband deciding on the day to wear his kilt), i would have gone as one of these lovely ladies, but instead i opted for the LBD and went as XENIA ONATOPP. vespa was just too current for me, and i'd much rather pretend to be a sadist than a traitor. (if i had to choose!)

no-one believed hubs that he was wearing his kilt 'authentically'.....

Wow - you look gorgeous! Are you concerned that hubby's legs will get more attention than yours? And, what do men really wear under their kilts?? All kidding aside, you look wonderful together. Don't pay attention to me. I'm a tiny bit jealous that I have no reason - none at all - to get dressed up.

As a Scot I love to see the kilt being worn and I concur you should never have anything on underneath. You look lovely.

Did you notice that you become invisible when you accompany a man in a kilt ? I spent years doing that, everyone loves a kilted man !

pps you're now showing up in my blog reader !!!!

Looking GORGEOUS! Love those fun things to dress up for. Sad for me I don't ever have anything to dress up fancy for, so I don't have anything fancy... haha. I just had to share with you a new cadbury love of mine. I just devoured (through out the day) a cadbury chocolate bar that has Irish Creme filling. YUM and if I was a drinker, man I would be in trouble!
Sorry I have been so busy, I have not viewed many blogs as of late, but hopefully I will get back into it soon! I just started digital scrapbooking and love it too. I am just a beginner though, so not that good.

Kilts are THE BEST! No such really sexy menswear traditions in the US. Except for tight Levi's. Those are good.
