glamping re-visited

we've been back from camping a couple of weeks now, so it's time i shared some pics with y'all!

i took this one using my new fixed 50 lens and there are only TWO words one can use to describe this pic...

CAMPING FEET!!!

camping is a relaxing time for us, and with a couple of musos in the fam, it's nice to sit back and listen to them strum

an arty shot from miss 18

and some cool boogey boarding moves too

exam results became available online while we were camping, and someone didn't want me to photograph her in case it was bad news.  yeah right!

some nights we got the most amazing sunsets

and during the day we soaked up the sun and surf

i just love this pic.  don't ask me why...

2 of our number have birthdays in january

someone turned 12, and someone else turned 51

this is my favourite shot of the holiday
we visited a local berry farm and they make fresh fruit icecreams
this pic mimics a huge photo they have on the wall
i tried several times to get this shot and when all 6 of us ordered icecreams, i would yell "DON'T LICK THEM YET!!!!" so i could take the pic, which was really difficult, as it was so hot they were melting right before our eyes!

we also played relaxing board games

another gorgeous sunset
(maybe i should devote an entire post them - i have enough pics!)

we went for after dinner walked and played wave chasing

fresh strawberries picked by our very own hands!

and there's the jumping pillow
fun for young AND old!

we flew miss 18's bestie up for the last 6 days
here she's balancing turtle island in her palm

do you feel like you came camping with us too?

Oh yes I do! This post single-handedly inspired me to start working on my health so I can get out into the world and experience those things!
The pictures were STUNNING as well! You captured the fun of the whole event :)
Please extend birthday wishes to the two lucky people who celebrated last month! Hopefully this year will be the best yet for them!

Oh yes, that was a great camping holiday. We ad to teach the two year olds in December to take their crocs off as the come into the tent and put one when they go out. Not an easy task. (My answer to camping feet)

Just loved this post... coming from SITS. Random, but are you going to Bloggy Boot Camp in Baltimore?

I Love you pictures! All those girls - an whole new world. And girls are so much more "let's make each moment a celebration" than boys. I bet your vacation is much more fun with teenage girls:)

I personally cannot stand dirt on the bottom of my feet. I'm just getting the shakes here just thinking about it!

I'm glad they got such a great picture of you, though:)

You got some great shots. Had to laugh that you had your computer while "camping."

How do you like your new lens??

You are totally rockin' the 50mm! Love your shots. And the beach pix are a welcome sight on this below freezing day in the ATL.

Oh my, them some dirty feet. Exactly why I don't like to camp. :)

I like that photo too (The backs of the girls walking).

Great fun! And what's even better is that my new laptop shows ALL your photos (I only used to get half of them on my old machine, v frustrating). I loved the one you did of the girls walking along the beach - I'd have that on my kitchen wall if I were you.
