photostory friday and the spring that ain't sprung

the day started off well enough

3rd day of spring - 2nd day of beautiful sunshine and it was warm enough to go out without a coat!

but we weren't home from work for long, before it rained

then hailed

thunder clapped

and lightening did whatever the word is for when lightening flashes

ah - lightening flashed

and after 5 minutes, our backyard looked like this!!!

stopping in from PSF.

Is that your driveway?? whoa!! steep!

I live in the US and we are at the end of summer, entering fall. We've had really HOT temps lately but have a sudden 'cool' spell this weekend. It feels like fall in an instant!

We got 2 inches here yesterday and my backyard was a swamp!

And then an earthquake! I've just heard on the news about the earthquake on South Island. Hope that all is well again soon and that you didn't suffer to much there on the periphery.

Well last time we saw a picture of water rushing down your driveway it was even less nice!

Don't they say that the messier spring is the nicer summer's going to be?
