wordful wednesday: one year on

when #2 daughter turned 18 last year, she chose to have a toga party

when i served the cake, she decided to ham it up with her bestie, and i just happened to be snapped in the background.

NO, i wasn't brought to tears by the violent display occurring in front of me, i just have perpetually watery eyes, and it was caught on camera

(how boring is THAT little anecdote!?)

365 days have come and past
(the innocent can never last)

(sorry, couldn't help myself)

and just like that, miss 18 is now 19

she left college (high school)
completed her first year at university (college)
celebrated her 18 month anniversary with her boyfriend

and is just as smart and funny and fabulous and gorgeous as ever

her bestie, who is more often than not a far more willing photographic subject than my own children, wanted to re-create the moment, so i obliged with a photo

teenagers.

you can't say they don't keep us entertained.

That first picture is truly classic! You looked like you were utterly horrified at the scene happening before your eyes. :)

Teens are a lot of fun in their own sort of way. The girls look like they have a great sense of humor. Please feel free to link up at my blog also.

Ha ha ha! That is so funny! And true, they do keep us entertained. My 16 yr old is hilarious. I can't believe how fast the time flys by. Oh to be 19 again. :-) Your background expression is classic!
