One small step for blogland

....one giant leap for ME!!! So I have finally caved (i think!) and joined the wonderful world of blogging. (See what happens when you call me 'bad sue' kristi?) i have no idea what to write, so this will probably rate as the most boring first blog entry of all time!

Actually kristi's friend melinda can probably take credit for this as she and i are/were apparently kristi's only remaining friends (virtual or otherwise) who were living in the dark ages, ie blogless. melinda has relented, which makes me, well - just sad (kristi, you were right!)

How cute is this puppy?

This is Ed. He belongs to my sister-in-law. we stayed with them on our way home from camping last week. Ed had come to live with them 3 days before and is 6 weeks old. he was named for Sir Edmund Hillary, a VERY famous Kiwi (New Zealander) who died recently. he was the first person in the world to climb Mt Everest way back in 1953 (the same year as Queen Elizabeth II was crowned!) - ed the man that is, not ed the puppy. ed the puppy's legs are so short he can barely scale his own front porch.

ok, so i don't want to fall into the trap of long posts, so i will leave it at that for now.
