Does this happen at your house?

ERRRRRUUUUGGHHHH!!!!! (say it out loud ladies)

This would have to be one of the more gross habits our little darlings have in their arsenal. It’s right up there with using the front of their t-shirts as napkins, and the entire length of one sleeve as a hanky.

Because everyone in my family except me eats peanut butter, the tub becomes a veritable minefield, lest i get the merest hint of peanut butter . it won’t kill me, i just don’t like it!

and now, THREE biscuit (that's cookie for your north american folks out there) recipes as promised.

LEMON BISCUITS

125g butter, softened
1 egg
3/4 C white sugar
2 C standard plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsp grated lemon rind

cream butter and sugar. add egg, beating well. sift flour and baking powder together and add to the creamed butter and sugar. roll heaped teaspoonsful of mixture into balls and place on a greased oven tray. flatten slightly with a floured fork. bake at 190 deg C for around 12 minutes until pale golden.

you'll obviously have to use that measurements converter!

HONEY OAT BISCUITS

125g butter, softened
1/2 C white sugar
2 tablespoons honey
1 C standard white flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 C rolled oats
cream butter, sugar and honey together. sift baking powder and cinnamon together. add sifted ingredients and rolled oats to creamed mixture, stirring well. roll tablespoonsful of mixture into balls. Place on a greased oven tray. flatten slightly with a floured fork. bake at 190C for around 12 minutes until pale golden. flatten with a floured fork and bake at 180 deg C for 15 minutes or until golden.

ANZAC BISCUITS (not pictured)

50g butter, softened
1/3 C white sugar
1/2 C standard white flour
3/4 C rolled oats
2/3 C coconut
1 tablespoon golden syrup (treacle)
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 tablespoons boiling water

mix together flour, sugar, coconut and rolled oats. melt butter and syrup. dissolve baking soda in the boiling water and add to butter and golden syrup. stir butter mixture into the dry ingredients. place level tablespoonsful of mixture onto cold greased trays. bake at 180 deg C for around 15 mins or until golden.
feel free to ask questions!

oh and one more thing - 20 sleeps til i go HERE!!!
