introducing oscar and RJ

miss 12 is probably one of the most responsible kids i know and has had some serious bad luck as the conscientious owner of several goldfish (now deceased).

we really wanted her to have a pet of her own, so yesterday we headed down to the local vet who was having an adopt-a-thon. we only intended to come home with one bunny, but of course came home with two - who just happen to be the brothers of tara's miss 11's 'nibbles'.

RJ.
moe enjoyed herding them. maybe he was a sheep dog in a former life?
check out that tongue! no, we didn't feed bunny to kitty for dinner
RJ (top) and oscar.
we can only tell them apart because of the twink we put on his head

that's cute.
Hopefully the bunnies turn out to be better than the previous pets.

They are cute though :-)

Oh you're the coolest mama to take on those bunnies. My girls would die for any pet beside their two dogs who we've had since before they were born. I'm waiting till they get older cause no one feeds the goldfish won at the fair except ME!!

Your pics are gorgeous.

Have fun with all the rabbit poo!! lol I used to own Rabbits and my kids want one so bad, but they just poo too much. I tried to litter train my first one but didn't give it long enough. My friend has her's litter trained and I love that rabbit.

awwww don't they look cute and I am sure that she will look after those two gorgeous bunnies. How very cool that they are related to Tara's Miss 11 "Nibbles"

Bunnies make such wonderful house pets. They don't bark, whine, beg for food, or have to be taken for walks. So cute!

Cute. I had a rabbit for a pet as a child.
We lost a Beta fish here over the weekend and it was much more tragic than I imagined it would be for my daughter.

Hopefully they won't be like Mom Bomb's little creature. Good Luck!

Good luck with the rabbit farm.. and I suspect Moe's licking is due to nerves .. when they get upset cats tend to purr loudly AND lick ...

I hope those bunnies are the same gender or you're gonna have lots and lots of bunnies! :)

The pictures of the cat with the bunnies makes me nervous, especially the lip licking one. :)

I hope you enjoy your newest family members!

Please tell me RJ isn't short for Regina Jane or any other female name. =D You know of course all those stories about them breeding?

I had to giggle when you had to mark one of them with 'Twink'. I haven't heard that word for over 20 years!

Please note: I'm sure this is not a popular opinion... but still...

Just stepped back into the blogosphere and have this to say:

HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND?

Just kidding. Those bunnies are adorable. Sarah heartily approves.

One tip: they need very little kibble/pellets and a whole lot of grass/hay. We fed Katy too much kibble and it resulted in an obese bunny with very stinky poo (lots of hay helped with the smell).

Love the kitty and the bunnie photo. Great shot. How could you only get just one. I just hope you have two males and not a male and a female. You will know in short order the breed of both. They love to have babies. Good Luck.

Lovely bunny photos. Our 3 cats more that keep me busy, though! The 3 rabbits certainly seem to be keeping your cat entertained.

I see from your last post that you're planning a little trip. LITTLE?? Sounds great. I hope that you enjoy every minute. I'm sure that you will.
