photostory friday - mini album show and tell

i've never done a mini album like this before.

i totally set it all up for tara and i. i laid out all the stuff on the table so we could quickly get to work. tara comes along and starts casually putting pages together, while i spent about THREE hours agonising over how to even PUT one together - grrrrrrrrrrr...

i must have started about 5 pages and not finished any of them
in the end, i realised i was over-thinking it and i just went with it
most of the pages are giant playing cards from the $2 shop!
i worked on it for the next 2 nights after dinner and in the end completed a TWENTY page album - that i'm VERY happy with! (only 12 shown here tho)

i can't wait to make another one!

How cute! I LOVE that sepia toned pic of the girl---I'm assuming it's your daughter? Sweet photo.

I have made two mini albums before - one for my MIL for her 70th birthday and one for my friend's 40th - I should do more - thanks for reminding me how much fun scraping is!

What a beautiful little book! I really need to take on a project like this... Sadly, I left all my scrapbooking things in the Midwest because I didn't think I'd have Any room for them in my tiny NYC apartment (which I don't really have much room... but what was I thinking to not bring a thing?!)

Anyway, you are very talented!

First I have to confess..I usually don't like real scrapbooks (I love digital though) Don't get me wrong I love all the pretty papers, buttons etc.. but I just have never fallen head over heels for one... until now. I love the random sized pages on this one and the special touches. This is the most unique and fun scrapbook I have ever seen! Jen

Yep, you're JUST like me! I love scrapbooking, I could stare at it for HOURS! But your layouts are lovely when you do get them finished. I particularly like your London page. I would never have thought to lay things out like that. I'm so traditional - need to step outside of the box once in a while.
