wordul wednesday - thirteen

so we're back to TWO teenagers in the house (as of yesterday).

last year i took this gorgeous creature out for breakfast
we went to a coffee house called mojo. they had a giant coffee roasting machine upstairs and we spoke to the roaster-dude and had a lovely birthday breakfast (just her and i).

last week she asked 'mum, are you going to take me out to breakfast again?'
i hadn't given it any thought. last year was the first time - it had been a random thing, but it's amazing how many traditions are started in such innocuous fashion, yet mean so much to those involved.

'sure' i said, 'but you know, there are MANY mojo coffee houses around wellington.
wanna try a different one?'

so we did.

this one's on the waterfront.

she sat down. i ordered for us, and then they gave me the table number.....

(no, they hadn't a clue - it's just one of those very cool coincidences...)
