Blogging has become an instant fix of digital scrapbooking at its most basic, and this initially satisfied the need to ‘publish’ my work, ie actually scrap a layout! I am however, missing the creative outlet that comes with scrapping, and i’m feeling guilty about all those lonely scrapping supplies wasting away in my dining room!
So i went to the LSS today to assist with motivation. I bought some lovely clear stamps from Kaiser scrapbooking, some rub-ons and some bazzill and before i knew it, i’d spent $100 (and that was with my staff discount!!!)
Does this happen to anyone else?
Anyway, today i have been creative! however I must give credit where it is due. Paula clare has entered this fortnight’s #8 wired challenge and i remembered that i used to complete this challenge religiously! I even won a couple of times! Lynette is always turning out awesome pages and suzy was named a CK hall of famer, so thanks ladies for your inspo!
here's my entry for this fortnight's dare. it's based on ad (which you can see on their website if you're that curious)
a close-up of the journalling (such as it is)
i also made some cards, which in turn inspired daughter #4 to make these!

made this card for my folks. they will have been married 48 years next wednesdeay
i used basic grey 'infuse' papers. cool huh?
and this one just coz i like doodling...
as addictive as blogging is, it comes with its own rewards, like receiving the same award from two different people, twice in one week! many thanks to the reluctant housewife, who says i (and several others) make her feel as if we're having a 'delicious ongoing conversation'. i feel the same way too. thanks so much! ps: reluctant, if you still want your easter eggs, please send me your snail mail address - the kids know where i've hidden them, and i can't hold them off much longer!
in other news, term 1 (that's a semester to your northern hemisphere folks) is OVER!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAY!!! two weeks of holidays - YAAAAAAAAAAY!!! i love the holidays - can ya tell? we plan to NOT make school lunches, NOT get up early, NOT do any homework, and we are DEFINITELY NOT going to stress.
we WILL however, be having sleepovers, crafty afternoons, lie-ins, lie-arounds, take a short road trip and go see "nim's island". apparently the spiderwick chronicles are too scary even for 10 and year olds. (well, that's what i've heard).
in other news, tara and i had our 2nd rehearsal for the 'big 50s TURN' tomorrow night. i think i threw my back out, however the spot on my knuckle where it connected with her teeth on tuesday is healing well.
show business is tough folks...

Hey! Its happened again! There is someone else with MY name posting the exact same thing as me at the EXACT SAME TIME! ...spooky...
well, they say everyone has a twin! i wonder if she's as fabulous as u are tho...
You defintely have taken to the blogging quite easily. Glad you found the scrap mojo- love the cards.
I can relate to blogging taking over (shouldn't I be working right now?) AND to spending over $100 on craft supplies in the blink of an eye.
Great work, Sue. I love the cards and have saved the pictures in my "inspiration" file.
I love that you are just as addicted to blogging as I am. I just need to back into my craftiness. I have had to avoid it like the plague because the kids (2 and under set) want to do it with me which takes a lot of the fun away, for me. I love, love, love the cards you made. I will totally be stealing your ideas.
amanda - i remember the days when i thought it would be fun to 'scrap' with the kids, but it just turned into a nightmare. believe me - it DOES get better, and FUNNER!!! (legally blonde moment hehe). they have their own scrapping supplies, but i also got much less precious about my own and now we all scrap together - it's a heap of fun.
Thanks for stopping by. I wish I could answer your question about my blog template, but that is top secret......actually I have not a clue! Shawn from Whimsy design did my site. Her link is on my right side bar. If you are looking for an inexpensive blog design, check out Eight Crazy. She's in my featured list on my Left side bar. Tell her I sent you.
Did I win easter eggs? I didn't know! Funny... Seriously. I'm very dim tonight... Are you talkin' to me? I would actually feel kind of bad making you mail me chocolate half way around the world!
I'm also, obviously, quite taken with this blogging thing. Not sure I'd call it an addiction... But I do enjoy. It's a creative outlet for sure.
yeah i'm talkin to you!!! (look at me, i'm robert de niro hehe). i bought u and amanda some easter eggs. she received hers in the mail today, and if you want yours, all u gotta do is send me your addy. i'm happy to do it, seriously!
