first on our list, was meeting this lovely blogger at london's ace cafe. as previously mentioned, auntiegwen made an almost 12 hour round-trip just to have dinner with us - AND she brought us an anniversary gift!
she complains that she never takes a good photo. i simply DON'T understand why...
i love this kind of diner. i remember going to one in downtown atlanta before a falcons game - it's something about the square plastic tiles on the floor i think
but behave or else! (click to enlarge)
it was italian car night - they have lots of themed nights, not just bike stuff, but definitely things with wheels that make lots of noise
then the next day we hit the ground running for a walking tour of london, care of my sister christine, who's been living there since 1991
pineapple lumps and pinky bars for everyone!
gravy on my chips?

we had lunch here at 'the punch and judy' at covent garden

ok, this photo is out of order - however...
it was well and truly bucketing down by this stage and THE MALL is rather exposed, and we didn't really fit under my tiny cute umbrella
but we had to have a pic outside buck house didn't we!

I am so jealous of your trip.
The only thing I didn't like much about England was the food....:)
Can you imagine why I'm still single????? It was amazing to meet you and the story of my journey has made so many people laugh xxx
Here's to our next meeting xx
great pics of London...will have to show them to my daughter...she is going there next summer.
sorry I messed up my first link...i've corrected it now.
this was fun, eager to read everyone's entries :D
Love the phone booth pic! I think it would be fun to see one so I could go inside and act crazy too!
Look at those cupcakes! I would love to live in that shop too!
Amazingly jealous, here. I've been to London twice on business and managed to see nothing more than the National Gallery for an hour and the Hard Rock Cafe for dinner one night. Well, someday I'll build in some extra time on one of these trips.

What a lovely series of photos!!
I adore the photo of you in the phone booth!
Your photos show how wonderful the trip was. You saw SO much! I burst out laughing at your phone booth shot!
Was the Atlanta diner you mentioned The Varsity? I miss The Varsity!
Hey Sue! Nice to see you co-hosting this week!
Do you actually live in New Zealand, or do you just drop in there once in a while on your whirlwind trips around the world?
What an awesome trip! Love the phone booth and the Italian car night. And hooray for co-hosting!
Looks like you had a blast. I am so very jealous! I wish I could visit London. But that would require me to fly and flying freaks me RIGHT OUT. So, I'll just admire your photos and live through you!
Stop showing us these pics! A trip to London and Paris was going to happen for our 10th anniversary until I got preggo. Not that I would change it, no NEVER, but I kinda wish we could have still gone. Someday!
And really, I love seeing all your pics and how you narrate them! : )
looks like an amazing place!

Looks like a wonderful time! I saw Avenue Q at a special invitation only dress rehearsal...it was hilarious! Shocking at times, but really clever and funny. I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
