wordful wednesday - shit of a job (haha)

haha i'm funny

this is horse guard's parade in whitehall, london

in the time of henry VIII, tournaments were held here

the horseman is a 'trooper of the blues and royals'

the soldiers are drawn from one of the five regiments of Foot Guards in the British Army

they are apparently relieved every hour, which is just as well, because they have to sit stock still!

i also couldn't get over how young this guy was!

...and how he could stand the smell!

i thought he looked really bored, but i know that his role is a huge honour

I clicked to enlarge the photo so I could see the fellow's face - he does look bored! But comfortable - that black, poofy cloth he's sitting on - very nice!

I feel bad for the horse! You know he wants to walk away from that mess! LOL!

I know it's an honor but it must be terribly boring.

And stinky.

LOL! Clever title. That would be way too hard for me to ever do. Between the pooh and having to sit still...not happening.
