wordful wednesday: snakes on a plane

this is one of those situations where you 'really had to be there', because i cracked this funny mid-sentence without realising i'd actually made a joke.

does that ever happen to you?

when miss 19 and i flew to australia recently, we bought 'seat only' tickets, so no food

so we packed bread rolls, muesli bars and sweet treats

we packed more food than we needed

so i'm telling miss 19, we can't take these through customs with us, so if you don't eat them, you'll have to leave the snakes on the plane

then i realised what i'd said and we LOLLED

then we lolled some more

then i repeated myself a few more times until miss 19 decided it was decidedly UNFUNNY

she also thought it unfunny when i regaled it countless times after our weekend away.

(i still think it's lol.....)
