photostory friday and a day at the races

because we didn't go camping this january, i was determined to do MANY of the things i couldn't usually do [when we're camping] and top of that list was A DAY AT THE RACES!!!

wellington cup day is more about the fashion than the horses

(although i'm sure the horse owners would disagree!)

i had my dress (bought and worn to mr scrappy's 50th) but needed a fascinator - and i was lucky to find one straight away - it matched my shoes (just in case you were wondering)

as you can see, mr scrappy is unfamiliar with the concept of fascinators.....

wordful wednesday and the chainsaw manicure

did you see what i did there?

when you read the word 'chainsaw',  you probably thought 'chainsaw MASSACRE' - as in texas,  but i actually wrote MANICURE. 

a little word play....(dorky word play, but it's my blog so i can be as dorky as i like!)

it also kinda looks like a T-REX ran through our property, but these before and after pics are pretty cool

mr scrappy wouldn't let me loose with the chainsaw, which on reflection (after seeing him carefully avoid having branches fall on him) - was probably a good idea

now we can see our letterbox from the house when i'm on the lookout for happy mail!

wordful wednesday: sometimes they really DO want sox for fathers' day

and that's pretty much all i wanted to say about that hehe

so, an epic fail in terms of being wordFUL, but i thought it was kinda cute!

he says that they even helped him win his game of squash when he wore them the next night!!!
