tuesday's tribute: the hubs

Tuesday's Tribute

10 reasons - on a tuesday (even though it's wednesday here!) why my hubs is awesome:

1) he makes me breakfast almost EVERY DAY

2) he makes the most amazing curries

3) he's become QUITE the house-hubby, and i think he even enjoys running errands!

4) he made a scrap room for me!

5) he rode hundreds of kilometres in a BLIZZARD to bring our 17 year old's new motor bike home

6) he's the original handyman

7) he's also the original computer geek (a very handy 21st century combo wouldn't you agree?!)

8) he's put up with me for almost 25 years (28 if you count our 'dating' days!)

9) he's just set up his own company

10) he's a wonderful father to our 4 girls

(the hubs and miss 17 in our house in atlanta back in 1994)

tuesday's tribute: a loving dad

Tuesday's Tribute

What is it?
Well, we'll tell you what it is NOT... It's Not About YOU. It's about SOMEONE ELSE. It's our chance, each of us, to shine our light on someone else.

Huh? Whaddya mean?
We each spend a lot of time talking about ourselves and our lives, but we are also fairly GIVING people too...Tuesday's Tribute is a chance to talk about OTHER people, OTHER blogs, OTHER lives.

Now's your chance to shine your light on someone else.

this is my husband and our 12 year old

on saturday afternoon he came home from running a couple of errands and bundled us all into the car.

"let's go to eastbourne and have fish and chips on the beach"

[eastbourne is an outer suburb of wellington on the eastern shore of wellington harbour]

we ordered fish and chips, got some coffees and hot chocolates to go, and sat on the beach.

being the middle of winter, it was a little brisk! - but it was so nice to do something spontaneous (that I didn't organise!)

love you hubs!
